Class timing for Odisha Schools rescheduled: Check details here

Bhubaneswar: The class timing for Schools in Odisha has been rescheduled to mitigate the heat wave condition. It was intimated through a letter on Thursday issued by the Department of School and Mass Education, Government of Odisha.

As per the letter, from 2nd April, the timing for Classes I to VIII will be 6.30 AM to 10.30 AM, and for Classes IX to XII will be 7 AM to 11.30 AM.

The above schedule will be applicable for all the Educational Institutions under the School and Mass Education Department that is Government, Government Aided and privately managed schools of the State.

Besides, the Mid Day Meal (MDM) programme will also be re-started from April. As per the said letter, cooked food, under the MDM programme will be provided to the eligible students from the beginning of April, 2022.

Also, adequate safe drinking water must be made available inside the school premises. The students may be advised to use umbrella during the summer season. It was mentioned in the letter.

The date of the summer vacation will be notified subsequently.

Similarly, the Covid 19 protocols will continue to be followed by all Educational Institutions across the State.
