Increased oil price leads to bus fare hike across Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today hiked bus fares across all categories following the increase in oil prices. The bus charges were increased under the automatic fare adjustment mechanism and it will come into effect from today.

According to Debendra Kumar Sahoo, the General Secretary of All Odisha Bus Owners Associatio (AOBOA) the ordinary fare has been increased from 87paisa to 90 paisa.

Likewise, the express bus fare has been increased from 91 paisa to 94 paisa and the deluxe bus fare increased from Rs 1.25 paisa to Rs 1.31 paisa.

Sahoo also said that the fare of C. Deluxe and Super Premium have been hiked from Rs 1.53 paisa to Rs 1.59 paisa and from Rs 2.38 paisa to Rs 2.47 paisa respectively.
