Cholera and Malaria vaccination to be manufactured in Odisha: 5T Chairman Karthik Pandian

Bhubaneswar: Cholera and Malaria vaccination will soon be manufactured in Odisha directed  the 5T Chairman on his visit to the Biotech Park. With the manufacture of Cholera and Malaria vaccination in Odisha, the reputation will grow in the field of biotechnology and every life will be secured.

According to reports, in this regard Sapigen Biologix Private Limited has agreed to set-up the large scale vaccine production unit. Talks have reached the final stage. The unit will be set up at Odisha Biotech Park in Andharua area of Bhubaneswar.

5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Karthik Pandian visited the plant and said, Odisha will produce 10 times the world’s population of vaccines. He visited the plant at Andharua and reviewed it. Further it is worth mentioning that the Commercial production will start from the vaccine plant by May this year.

The construction of the vaccine plant has reached its final stage. From here as much as 2 crore 4 lakh doses will be prepared daily. Once it is fully operational, Odisha will be considered as the largest vaccine producing state in the country. Pandian visited the sub-units of the plant and discussed details about it with the management and the employees. This vaccine plant is being built at a cost of rupees 1500 crores.

Reports further said that through this, 1500 direct employment opportunities will be created. It is worth mentioning that, vaccines for 15 types of diseases such as cholera, malaria, etc shall be produced from here.
