Both BJD & Congress Failed To Bring Prosperity In Odisha: Amit Shah

Salepur: Attending a ‘Karyakarta Samabesh’ (Workers Convention) at Kulia in Salepur, BJP National President Amit Shah lashed out at the ruling BJD as well as the Congress and said both the parties failed to make Odisha a prosperous state.

Addressing booth-level workers, Shah said, “Both BJD & Congress failed to bring prosperity in Odisha. Despite being rich in minerals and natural resources, the state lags behind in development. We assure for all-round development once voted to power in the state in the upcoming elections.”

“Congress ruled India for decades but poor did not even get basic amenities such as gas connections, medical benefits and electricity. People in Odisha are unable to benefit from schemes of Central government due to the narrow mindset of State Government,” Shah added.

After landing at Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport, Amit Shah flew to Satyabhamapur in Cuttack and paid floral tributes to Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das. Hailing the legendary leader, Shah said the BJP follows the ideals promulgated by Madhusudan Das and will materialize the dreams for Odisha that were long cherished by Mabhusudan Das.

After paying respects to Madhusudan Das, Shah left for Kulia to attend the workers’ convention.

Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Shah kickstarted the saffron party’s campaign in Odisha by addressing the ‘Karyakarta Samabesh’. During the programme, he met over 30,000 booth-level from Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Jajpur districts.

Amit Shah will be visiting Odisha again on February 3 to attend BJP Janjati Morcha’s national convention in Puri.
