Blast at hospital in Bhubaneswar, FIR filed by Dilip’s mother to ADCP

It is to be noted that in the blast in hospital in Bhubaneswar, an FIR has been lodged against the hospital by the mother of the deceased.

Bhubaneswar: It is to be noted that in the blast in hospital in Bhubaneswar, an FIR has been lodged against the hospital. The mother of Dilip Samantray has filed a complaint against the hospital.

The complaint has been filed with the Additional DCP. Based on this complaint, the police shall further proceed in the matter and investigate into case. The body shall be kept in the hospital premises and an inquest shall be made.

Later the body shall be taken to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for postmortem and then a DNA test will be conducted. The body will the be preserved for further investigation.

A major unrest was seen at the blast at hospital in Bhubaneswar, said reliable reports in this regard on Saturday. Reports say that the police shall decide to whom the body shall be handed over.

The relatives of the deceased identified as Dilip Samantaray have staged a protest in front of the hospital relating to the handing over of the body and the identification thereof.

According to the latest update in the blast at private hospital in Bhubaneswar, another man succumbed to his injuries, confirmed reports on Saturday. With this, the death toll in the incident has risen to three.

The deceased has been identified as Dilip Samantaray. Earlier on December 31, 2023, it was informed that Dilip had succumbed to his injuries. However, it was later revealed that a major mistake had happened while handing over the body and that, Dilip was alive. Meanwhile, after hearing about Dilip’s death, his wife killed herself on January 1.

However, the demise of Dilip Samantaray has now been confirmed by the concerned private hospital. Officials from the Mancheswar Police Station have arrived at the hospital and looking into the matter. Reports say that Dilip’s body will be sent to Capital hospital in Bhubaneswar for post-mortem.

On December 29, 2023, a blast took place at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. The blast left at least five people critical. Reportedly, the explosion took place due to short circuit during the outdoor AC gas filling.
