Bihar man rapes woman from Odisha in Patna after befriending her on social media
In a shocking incident, a woman from Odisha has allegedly been raped by a man from Bihar after both became friends on social media.
Cuttack/Patna: In a shocking incident, a woman from Odisha has allegedly been raped by a man from Bihar after both became friends on social media.
The incident of the rape came to light as the victim wrote a letter to the Cantonment police station in Cuttack via a letter recently. The incident however happened back in the year 2022.
It is worth mentioning that the alleged accused a man from Bihar recorded the act and started blackmailing her with video and photos.
Reports say that, the man and the woman developed a friendship on a popular social media platform. As the friendship grew the man insisted on meeting the girl in Patna.
The woman was allegedly raped and assaulted by the man repeatedly. The woman however said that she somehow managed to escape and come back to Cuttack.
The DCP of Cuttack has said that strict action shall be taken in this regard. An investigation has been launched in this regard.
