Bhubaneswar: The anti-drug declaration is now mandatory for lecturers in the State, informed Odisha Assembly Standing Committee Chairman Bhupinder Singh on Tuesday.

Singh said that the committee has made a recommendation to the state government to make it mandatory for the lecturers of Plus 2, Plus 3 and Universities to submit anti-drug declaration as the students submit the same before taking admission in the institute.

He has reportedly written a letter to the School & Mass Education Department, Higher Education Department, Skill Development & Technical Education Department, and Health Department in this regard saying the prime objective is to keep educational campuses free from any substance use and the rule should be equally applicable to all.
