Angul: Baby elephant rescued among cattle herds sent to Nandankanan Zoo

The baby elephant which was recently rescued among cattle herds in Angul district of Odisha has been reportedly sent to the Bhubaneswar-based Nandankanan Zoological Park.

Angul: The baby elephant which was recently rescued among cattle herds in Angul district of Odisha has been reportedly sent to the Bhubaneswar-based Nandankanan Zoological Park.

The forest officials reportedly rescued the baby elephant from the Ganthigadia village in Banarpal Tehsil of the district after it came to village along with the cattle herds.

The forest officials provided some treatment to the pachyderm and tried their best to help it to meet its mother. However, after they failed in their attempt, they sent the jumbo to the Nandankanan Zoo.

The elephant was sent to the zoon in a special vehicle and was put in a special enclosure after reaching the Nandankanan Zoo.
