8 fake Vigilance officers arrested in Odisha
The Commissionerate police has arrested eight fake Vigilance officers related to the robbery case in Basundhara Colony of Bhuaneswar.
Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate police has arrested eight fake Vigilance officers related to the robbery case in Basundhara Colony area of capital city of Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, an eight-member robbery gang impersonating as vigilance officers looted money and gold jewellery from one Nibarana Pani’s house in Basundhara Colony, Nandanvihar under Infocity Police Station.
The robbers have been arrested from Kendrapada, Baleswar. There were more than 10 cases against the gang across Odisha.
The police has seized 15 lakh cash along with swords, bhujali and other deadly weapons from the fake vigilance officers.
