Three people have been arrested for killing a youth in Rayagada district of Odisha on Saturday, said reliable reports.

According to reports, a murder took place in Rayagada City under Gautam Nagar area on Friday evening. The police have arrested three accused in this connection. They are Dipana Himrika, Hemant Kilaka and Arya Gandagiri of Khilimishiguda village.
The accused allegedly killed the youth with a knife yesterday in the afternoon hours. The deceased has been identified as Pramod Kolaka of Khilimishiguda village.
The accused allegedly stabbed the victim and ran away. The murder happened when the man was returning from school with his sister on a scooter. Deceased Pramod is the nephew of former district council chairman Gangadhar Puala.
The killing of youth in Rayagada was believed to be due to previous enmity. However it is worth mentioning here that, the police took this incident seriously and formed four special teams of the police. The police launched raids in the city and its surrounding areas. It was reported that SP Vivekananda Sharma himself is monitoring the incident.
