2 brothers drown in river during death rituals in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur

In a shocking incident, two brothers drowned in a river in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha on Tuesday, said reports. 

Jagatsinghpur: In a shocking incident, two brothers drowned in a river in Jagatsinghpur district of Odisha on Tuesday, said reports.

The incident has been reported from Baradia village in Jagatsinghpur. They drowned in the Devi river, during the 10th day death rituals.

It is worth mentioning that the death rituals of a jawan who had died in a road accident was underway and the two who died were the cousins of the deceased jawan.

The locals immediately informed the local fire personnel. They reached the spot and immediately started the rescue operations.

By the time of the filing of the report the fire department had fished out one body from the river. The search operation was on for the other.
