15 Families in Malkangiri vacate houses over Maoists Threats

At least 15 families of two villages under Kalimela police limits of Malkangiri district on Tuesday left their houses due to Maoists threats.

According to reports, the residents of Elkanur and Kurundia villages, who were supporting the red rebels, became their target after they surrendered before the police recently.

Suspecting them to be the police informers, the members of the outlawed group threatened the villagers to leave the area or else to face dire consequences.
