A railway official took to social media to disapprove of passengers making their kids sit on snack trays in the Vande Bharat Express train.

New Delhi: In a notable instance of railway property misuse, a railway official, Ananth Rupanagudi, took to social media to disapprove of passengers making their children sit on snack trays in the Vande Bharat Express train. Sharing a picture on a microblogging platform, Rupanagudi highlighted the detrimental impact on the snack trays, contributing to breakages and defects.

The railway bureaucrat expressed frustration, stating, “One of the main reasons for breaking of snack trays or defective snack trays in #VandeBharat and other trains! Even with photographic evidence, whiners would say that I pass on the blame only to passengers! #IndianRailways #Responsibility #passengers.”

The post garnered over 80,000 views and a thousand likes, with several users suggesting stricter norms and fines for such behavior. Mr. Rupanagudi acknowledged the possibility of enforcement but emphasized the need to sensitize railway staff to address passenger misuse.
