A tempo full of cigarettes worth about Rs 30 lakh was looted by unidentified assailants near Signature Bridge, on Monday.
New Delhi: A tempo full of cigarettes worth about Rs 30 lakh was looted by unidentified assailants near Signature Bridge, on Monday.
According to the sources, the tempo was going to Model town Ghaziabad. “When the tempo reached near Signature Bridge around five men robbed the tempo and fled. A PCR call was made about the incident and a case was registered,” an officer said.
Police are scanning CCTV footage of the nearby spots to gather clues. “We have identified a few suspects in the case and they are being questioned,” the police officer said.
Police further mentioned 2 people were arrested and cigarettes recovered from them. Search for the remaining accused is underway.
