Sundar Pichai turns 50, Let’s take a look at his journey so far!

The CEO of Google and Alphabet Sundar Pichai, born in 1972, has recently turned 50-year-old.

Born into a middle class family, Pichai lived with his family in a two-room apartment, where he and his brother had to sleep in the living room.

Sundar Pichai had completed his schooling at Jawahar Vidyalaya Senior Secondary School, Chennai, and Vana Vani School and completed his graduation in metallurgical engineering from IIT Kharagpur.

However, his actual story started from the time when he flew to the States for higher education. Pichai completed his Master’s at Stanford University in materials science and engineering, followed by his MBA degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

After pursuing his MBA, Pichai worked as a consultant at Mc.Kinsey before joining Google in 2004.

As per sources, the original plan for Google to get a browser of its own was pitched by Sundar. After a series of debate and discussion, Google Chrome was put on platforms and which became a huge success.

After supervising a lot of other projects like Gmail, Google maps and Google drive, he was titled as the CEO of Google in 2015. Further in 2019, the was also named as the CEO of Alphabet.

Sundar Pichai has married to his college sweetheart, Anjali Pichai. They both met at IIT Kharagpur and tied the knot several years after courtship. The years before marriage were full of hardships, owing to the start of Sundar’s professional career. However, the duo stood strong and made it till marriage.

Pichai was also named for the Padma Bhushan award 2022, the third-highest civilian award by the Government of India.
