Kodagu: In a shocking incident, a couple reportedly committed suicide after strangulating their 11-year-old daughter to death in Kerala on Saturday.
One Vinod (43), his wife Zubi Abraham (37), and daughter Johan from Kottayam visited a resort in Karnataka’s Kodagu district. They checked into the resort yesterday and all of them were found dead in the same evening.
Bodies of Vinod and Zubi were reportedly found in a hanging state. As per the suicide note left by them, they took the extreme step due to huge financial losses.
The preliminary investigation of Madikeri Rural police suggests that the couple had killed their daughter by strangulation her before hanging themselves.
Police have started an investigation into the matter and sent the bodies to the hospital for postmortem. They are likely to question the employees of the resort and family members to get some lead in the case.
