Ludhiana: In a historic move, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann unveiled the ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar’ scheme on Sunday, promising to bring government services directly to the doorsteps of the people.

The initiative, which boasts 43 services, aims to revolutionize governance and eliminate the need for citizens to visit government offices for routine administrative tasks.

Addressing a gathering after the launch, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann hailed the occasion as historic, emphasizing the achievement of turning an impossible concept into a reality.

He proudly declared that Punjab has adopted the successful Delhi Model of Cm Arvind Kejriwal, as a blueprint for responsive and transparent governance. Mann expressed his vision for this citizen-centric model to be emulated across the nation, providing essential services to people in a hassle-free manner.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, present at the launch, highlighted the significance of the scheme, asserting that approximately 99% of government services would soon be accessible at the citizens’ doorsteps. He emphasized the relief this would bring to individuals, sparing them from the inconvenience of navigating bureaucratic hurdles in government offices for routine administrative work.

“People don’t have to face harassment in government offices for their routine administrative works,” Kejriwal stated, underscoring the transformative impact of the initiative on citizens’ daily lives. He went on to express his optimism about the eventual realization of a future where 100% of government services would be available at people’s doors, paying homage to the aspirations of the nation’s great martyrs and forefathers.

The Delhi Chief Minister highlighted that the ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar’ scheme originated in Delhi in 2018, aiming to ease the burden on citizens by providing government services directly to their homes. However, he commended Punjab as the first state, besides Delhi, to replicate this progressive model.
