Mumbai: Shaktikanta Das on Wednesday assumed charge as the 25th Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. He replaced Urjit Patel who resigned on Monday.

61-year-old Das, a former economic affairs secretary at the Finance Ministry, took charge at the RBI for a three-year term.
