Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha: Anti-drone systems, NSG snipers and thousands of cops deployed in Ayodhya

Elaborate security arrangements have been made with thousands of police personnel deployed in Ayodhya ahead of Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha.

Ayodhya: Elaborate security arrangements have been made with thousands of police personnel already deployed in Ayodhya ahead of Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony on Janaury 22.

Informing about the security and safety arrangements, Uttar Pradesh Police Special Director General (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said, “As per the demands from the Central Home Ministry, seven companies of CAPF, two anti-drone systems, and two NSG sniper teams have been deployed in the city. We have also put in a request, which was sent by the UP government to the Centre, for 25 VR cars, 10 vehicle-mounted jammers, and six vehicle-mounted X-Ray baggage scanners.”

According to reports, 17 police superintendents, 24 assistant superintendents of police (IPS 2020-21 batch), 44 additional superintendents of police, 140 police deputy superintendents, 208 inspectors, 1196 sub-inspectors, 83 assistant sub-inspectors, 4,350 police officers, 590 constables, 16 traffic inspectors, 130 traffic sub-inspectors, 325 traffic officials, 540 traffic constables, and 26 PAC companies along with additional police officers have already allotted in Ayodhya.

Additionally, two inspectors, 40 sub-inspectors, 150 officials, 30 women constables and one company PAC from the Government Railway Police (GRP) have been deployed in the town.

“Based on inputs from the Intelligence unit of UP police, alerts are being sent to the concerned police officers. We have issued 20 detailed instructions for the safe installation of the Ram idol in the temple in Ayodhya,” he further added.

“There is tight checking with Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at the India-Nepal border,” said Prashant Kumar.

Meanwhile, green corridors have been established on all five highways leading to Ayodhya under the supervision of senior officers. Instructions have also been issued to create traffic diversions under a scheme and traffic officers have been given instructions for the same.

At the same time, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Special Task Force (STF), Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Intelligence Department have been asked to maintain coordination and ensure action during the grand occasion.
