PM Modi washes sanitation workers’ feet
Prayagraj: After taking a holy dip at the ‘Sangam’ and offered prayers at the ongoing Kumbh here in Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi washed feet of sanitation workers and lauded their efforts towards a Swacch Bharat.
The Prime Minister’s unprecedented move was seen during the “Swachh Kumbh Swachh Aabhaar” award function, where he had acknowledged the efforts made by the sanitation workers to keep the Kumbh grounds clean.
The Prime Minister said he would cherish the moment for his entire life.

Later, Modi lauded the efforts of the sanitation workers to ensure the cleanliness of the area.
“There are many kinds of saints here, and among those, there are my brothers and sisters who have worked tirelessly to make this Kumbh a success, they are my hard-working ‘Karmyogis,'” he said.
The Prime Minister also thanked the organisers and workers of Kumbh Mela for “taking care of the cleanliness of the place” and making the “religious gathering of 22 crore people possible.”
Kumbh Mela, a timeless tradition sees millions coming to take a dip at the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati.
