Now special darshan fee fixed at Rs 300 in Kedarnath and Badrinath temples

Dehradun: The Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has recently announced a new fee for the special darshan of the Kedarnath and Badrinath temples.

As per the announcement, all types of VIPs visiting the temples must pay a fee of Rs 300 per person for special darshans and prasad. Additionally, only the staff of the Temple Committee will look after the arrangements.

After studying the puja system and darshan arrangements at four major temples of the country Tirupati Balaji, Vaishno Devi, Mahakaleshwar and Somnath temples, the BKTC decided to fix the fee.

A triushal made of ashtadhatu weighing 100 kg will be installed in the Kedarnath temple.

In the meeting, a budget of Rs 76.25 crore has been proposed for the upcoming financial year 2023-24. BKTC Chief Executive Officer Yogendra Singh presented the budget and proposed an outlay of Rs 39.90 crore for Badrinath and Rs 36.35 crore for Kedarnath.
