New Delhi: Nayab Singh Saini, Haryana BJP president was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana, at the Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh on Tuesday.
Saini, the Bharatiya Janta Party MP from Haryana’s Kurukshetra constituency, took charge as the Haryana Chief Minister at 5 pm today, following Manohar Lal Khattar’s resignation.
Nayab Singh Saini is said to be a close confidante of former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. He is said to have helped the BJP to gain stronghold in Haryana within the Other Backward Classes (OBC) community after his appointment as the state BJP president in October 2023.
