New Delhi: The members of the India National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) bloc are to hold a protest march today, over the suspension of MPs in the Parliament. The protest march will be held from the Parliament house to Vijay Chowk in Delhi, confirmed reliable reports.

Earlier, INDIA bloc’s meeting was held at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence in Delhi on December 20. Following the conclusion of which, RSP (Revolutionary Specialist Party) MP NK Premchandran said that a march would be carried out on December 22.

He said, “On Dec 22, we have decided to have a big protest march including our party leaders and all the suspended MPs. We are going to have a big march from the Jantar Mantar to the Parliament…This march is against the dictatorial approach of the government,” reported ANI.

Notably, a total of 143 opposition MPs have been suspended from both Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha in the past week. They were suspended for causing ruckus and disrupting proceedings in the Parliament. As on December 20, 2023 (Wednesday), the total number of MPs suspended by the Parliament stood at 143. Out of which, 97 were from Lok Sabha while 46 were from the Rajya Sabha.
