Hizbul Militant Shot Dead In Jammu And Kashmir’s Pulwama
Srinagar: A Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist was shot dead by Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Saturday morning. The militant, identified as Sabir Ahmad Dar, was killed after a fierce encounter with security forces. Some weapons have also been seized from the encounter site.
The police said the security forces launched a cordon and search operation after receiving intelligence inputs about some terrorists hiding at Dalipora in Pulwama, 32 km from the summer capital Srinagar.
The Jammu Kashmir Police said the terrorists fired at the approaching security forces, following which the latter retaliated. Meanwhile, the security forces have cordoned the area and are looking for any other remaining terrorist.
Notably, the encounter took place less than 24 hours after a police officer was killed by terrorists in Sopore on Friday night.
