Gogamedi murder case: Rajasthan police arrest Jaipur woman for helping shooter

The Rajasthan police have arrested a woman for helping one of the shooters involved in the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.

Jaipur: The Rajasthan police have arrested a woman named Pooja Saini for allegedly helping one of the shooters involved in the murder of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Pooja, along with her husband Mahendra Meghawal, reportedly provided weapons to the shooter Nitin Fauji. Nitin stayed in their rented flat in Jaipur for almost a week before the murder on December 5, said reliable reports in this regard.

Mahendra Meghawal, also known by the name Sameer, is currently on the run and has a history of criminal activities.

In another development, three inmates from Bhondsi jail in Rajasthan, were taken into custody by the Jaipur police for questioning in connection with the Gogamedi murder case. The three are reportedly linked to Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. These inmates were reportedly in contact with Nitin Fauji and were involved in an attempted murder case with him.

The main shooters, Nitin Fauji and Rohit Rathore, along with their associate Udham Singh, were arrested by a joint team of Delhi Police and Rajasthan Police in Chandigarh. They appeared before a local court and were remanded to police custody for seven days.

National president of Shri Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, was fatally shot on November 5 by unknown assailants inside his house in Jaipur. Following the murder, gangster Rohit Godara, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the killing.
