Fire breaks out in cosmetic unit in Himachal Pradesh; several trapped
A massive fire broke out in a cosmetic product manufacturing factory in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh's Solan district.
Shimla: A massive fire broke out in a cosmetic product manufacturing factory in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. As per official reports, several people were feared to be trapped in the massive fire. Fortunately, no loss of life has been reported, however, 41 people with 19 injured were rescued from the factory.
After receiving information about the incident, NDRF and fire service personnel have reached the spot and initiated a rescue operation for the trapped people inside the factory.
Following the incident, Deputy Commissioner Manmohan Sharma said a team of the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) have reached the spot soon to rescue the trapped workers.
“Fire tenders have been pressed in action to douse the fire. After the ablaze is doused and all the trapped people will be a rescued, an investigation will be conducted to ascertain the cause of fire,” said the Deputy Commissioner.
