Earthquake of magnitude 4.5 strikes Ladakh
An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on Richter scale struck Leh and Ladakh during the early morning hours on Tuesday.
Ladakh: An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on Richter scale struck Leh and Ladakh during the early morning hours on Tuesday. The quakes jolted Ladakh at around 4:30 AM, confirmed the National Center for Seismology.
Taking to their official handle on X (formerly Twitter), NCS states that the earthquake originated at 34.73 latitude and 77.07 longitude. Reportedly, the epicentre of the earthquake in Ladakh was about five kilometre below the earth surface.
However, no casualties have been reported due to the earthquake so far.
