ATS arrests 2 ISIS activists in Jharkhand

The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) team has arrested two ISIS activists from Godda and Hazaribadg districts of Jharkhand.

Ranchi: The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) team has arrested two ISIS activists from Godda and Hazaribadg districts of Jharkhand.

The activists have been identified as Md Aariz Hussainain and Naseem. According to reports, Aariz Hussainain, a resident of Asanbani area in Godda district, allegedly used to meet youths on social media platforms and indoctrinate them.

After receiving information about it, the ATS team arrested him. During interrogation, the cops found Hussainain’s “suspicious chat” with Naseem on his mobile phone. Following this, the cops also arrested Naseem.

As per ATS reports, Hussainain allegedly confessed his links with ISIS and other proscribed terrorist groups based in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Further investigation is underway.
