Ashok Gehlot set to scrap MOUs made by Vasundhara Raje’s government

Jaipur: Rajasthan’s new Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s government is set to scrap over 200 MOUs signed by previous BJP government by Vasundhara Raje.

During the 2015 Resurgent Rajasthan Investors’ Summit the previous government lead by Vasundhara Raje had signed deals with various companies.

Industry Minister Prasadi Lal said that the MOUs are getting scraped because the deals actually could not be materialised.

“The previous government should have scrapped the MoUs by now by taking suo moto cognizance but they didn’t. There were around 470 MoUs which were signed as part of the summit but actual investment happened for only around 120 of them,” said Lal.

Rajasthan voted on December 7 and the results were announced on December 11 last year. Congress President Rahul Gandhi appointed Ashok Gehlot as the next chief minister of Rajasthan on December 14, 2018.
