5 killed after truck collided with auto-rickshaw in Agra

Five individuals including a woman died and one person was critically injured when a truck collided with an auto in Agra on Saturday.

Agra: Five individuals including a woman died and one person was critically injured when a truck collided with an auto in Agra on Saturday. The accident occurred on Delhi-Agra Highway this evening. The truck driver is on the run since the accident.

According to reports, the accident happened near Gurudwara Guru Ka Taal crossing in Agra at 4.00 pm. The incident lead to a huge traffic jam as crowd gathered at the accident site.

Speaking to media agency ANI, DCP Suraj Kumar Rai said, “We received information that a truck and auto have collided on the National Highway. 5 people have died in the incident and one person is injured…Situation is under control at the spot. Necessary legal action will be taken in the matter.”

After receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot, seized the bodies and sent them for autopsy. The injured was rushed to the nearby hospital. The cops have also initiated a probe into the matter.
