5 killed after speeding car collides with tree on NH 43 in Madhya Pradesh

Five people were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a tree on the National Highway in MP's Umaria.

Madhya Pradesh: In a tragic incident, five people were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a tree on the National Highway in the early hours of Monday in MP’s Umaria.

The accident took place in the vicinity of Majhgava village on the national highway 43, under the jurisdiction of the Ghunghuti police post area, according to officials.

Assistant Sub Inspector Shailendra Chaturvedi, while sharing details on the incident, said that the car was carrying five people and was on the way from Umaria to Shahdol when the collision occurred.

Unfortunately, three of them died on the spot due to severe impact, while the other two succumbed to their injuries while on the way to the hospital.

As per the officials, all the deceased were aged between 30 to 35 years, and most of them were government employees.

A case has been registered, and an investigation is currently underway.
