3.9-magnitude earthquake strikes Manipur

Manipur: An earthquake of magnitude 3.9 on the Richter scale jolted Manipur’s Ukhrul during the morning hours of Friday, the National Centre of Seismology reported. According to reports from reliable sources, the quake struck at 6:56 AM on Friday.

As per information, the earthquake in Manipur originated at a latitude of 24.76 and a longitude of 94.46. The tremors originated from a depth of 90 kilometers beneath the earth surface.

The NCS took to their official handle on X to inform about the quake. They wrote, “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.9, Occurred on 15-03-2024, 06:56:09 IST, Lat: 24.76 & Long: 94.46, Depth: 90 Km ,Location: 19km S of Ukhrul, Manipur, India.”

However, no injuries or damages due to the earthquake were reported.
