The Permanent Account Number (PAN) card is a unique identity, which is needed in many important places. The PAN card is required to make any kind of financial transaction such as cash purchases of bank drafts, pay orders and for filing of tax returns. The PAN card is also needed to while making PF account and in some places it is also used as an ID card.

The PAN card has an alphanumeric 10 digit number, which is proivided by the Income Tax Department. This process comes under the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

You can download your PAN card online easily by using your phone or your desktop while sitting at home.

How to download PAN card online easily

• Go to https://www.onlineservices.nsdl.com/paam/requestAndDownloadEPAN.html.
• Then click on the option of PAN among the given two options and enter your required details like your Adhaar number, PAN card number, date of birth.
• Accept the terms and conditions and entering the captcha.
• Click on Submit button.
• Now all the necessary details of your PAN will appear in front of you on the screen.
• Click on any one mode for PAN verification and tick the declaration box .
• Now, click on generate OTP. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
• type the OTP and click on Validate option.
• After that, a payment option will appear. Click on ‘Continue With Paid E-PAN Download Facility’.
• After that select any one payment methods and accept the terms and conditions and click on the option of confirm payment.
• Now a payment page will come in front of you, where you will be asked to pay around Rs 9.
• After successful payment, click on the Continue option and generate payment receipt.
• Click on Download e-PAN card. After a while your e-Pan card will be downloaded in your mobile phone or PC.

Note that the PDF file of the e-PAN card will be password protect. The password is applicant’s date of birth.
