5 habits that triggers Insomnia, Change it ASAP!

It is very much important to have proper sleep and have a balanced diet to stay fit. By sleeping, we give rest to our body, which work all the time. It helps in recovery and better development of our body. This is why, doctor advices to sleep for at least 7 to 8 hours at night. However, most of the people cannot sleep properly and suffer insomnia.

If you have insomnia, you will be prone to risk of diseases like high BP, obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease. However, the sleeplessness is triggered by various habits. So here are five habits that triggers insomnia

Having lot of screen time

Using smartphone, laptop or tablets just before going to bed can hamper your sleep rigorously. So, avoid working on a smartphone, laptop, or iPad after lying in bed at night. As per experts, if you stop having screen time an hour before sleeping, you will have a sound sleep. This will also affect your sleep cycle and make it right.

Drinking tea and coffee

Many people like to drink tea and coffee right before bed. It is one of the wrong things we often do. As caffeine is present in tea and coffee, it keeps the brain awake and lead to sleeplessness. Hence, one should avoid taking tea, coffee, chocolate, cola, soda, or energy drinks after dinner at night.

Exercising just before going bed

When we work out before bed, our bodies and minds are highly stimulated. This can take away the sleep and trigger insomnia. Hence, one should try to workout in the morning or evening in place of working just before going to bed.

Sleeping immediately after studying

Sleeping immediately after studying at night can also make you a victim of insomnia. When one goes to sleep immediately after studying, the mind remains engrossed in the same work. So, in order not to trigger insomnia, one should try to complete their important work a little before sleeping and then go to sleep.

Alcohol consumption

As per experts, one may fall asleep quickly after drinking alcohol. However, they may have to face problems like restlessness and frequent opening of the eyes during sleep. Along with this, one should avoid eating anything heavy before sleeping or late at night, as it can provide energy to the body and activate the brain.
