Divine astonishment! Thieves throw stolen jewellery of Maa Ugratara in forest, watch

A few years ago in a similar case of theft the thief himself went around the village knocking on everyone's door saying that he is the thief and he is the one who stole the jewellery of the Mother Goddess

Khordha: In a miraculous incident of divine astonishment the thieves had to return the stolen jewellery of Goddess Ugratara. The incident took place in Tangi area of Khordha district in Odisha.

As per reports, last Saturday thieves broke into the temple of Maa Ugratara in Tangi area of Khordha district and looted a number of Gold and silver jewellery of the Goddess.

It is believed that Goddess Ugratara is very much lively. Even in this modern age, many devotees have felt the astonishing effect of the Goddess. Good people have got instant blessings while wrongdoers have got punishment for their misdeeds. And this has been proved yet again in this case of theft. Though thieves managed to steal the jewellery they had not any other way but to return it. Astonishingly, they threw the stolen jewellery in the forest.

The famous temple of Maa Ugratara Devi in Odisha is famous for being a tantra pitha. The temple of Maa Ugratara has been established at the foothills of the Hatiasuni Hills in Mulijhar area under Nuagarh Panchayat of Tangi block.

Last Saturday some miscreants broke the grill of the temple and entered into the temple late at night. They reportedly took away various gold and silver ornaments of the mother Goddess.

Tangi police revealed that 2 people have been arrested in this connection while the stolen jewellery has been seized. The two accused have been identified as Nitei alias Baidhar Pradhan and Chhabi alias Sukanta Pradhan of Nirakarpur area. A number of cases of theft and loot as well as mobile snatching in running train are pending in their names in different police stations.

Khurda Additional SP informed in a press meet that following the theft, Police swung into action to nab the culprits. Accordingly, three teams were formed under the leadership of Balugaon SDPO in-charge Meenakshi Thakur. A series of raids were conducted at various places under the supervision of Tangi police station IIC Sushant Kumar Behera.

Meanwhile, it was reported that the looters were found to have thrown away the stolen gold and silver jewellery in the nearby forest. Police seized the goods from the forest. Police arrested 2 persons in this connection and also seized a motorcycle from their possession. They have been forwarded to the Court.

The majesty of Mother Ugratara is so famous that anyone who hears about it will be overwhelmed. It is said that a few years ago there was a similar theft from the temple.
