You Took Alot Of Money From Me, Says Anil Kapoor To Kareena Kapoor Khan

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor recently appeared on a chat show hosted by Kareena Kapoor Khan, ‘What Women Want’.  In the recent episode of the show the actor was invited as the guest.

In the episode Kareena asked Anil about the pay gap that continues in Bollywood between male and female actors should change mentioning about male actors of Hollywood who associate themselves with works in which their female co-actor receive equal wage.

Anil’s response “You toh took a lot of money from me”, left Kareena stumped for a moment. He then narrated an incident where the producers had called him up during negotiations with Kareena for the movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’ and said, “ Yaar, yeh toh hero se zyada paise maang rahi hai” to which Anil replied “ Bebo jo maangegi, de do ”.

The actor also stated that he has no hesitation in being paid lesser than his female co-actor and that has even happened on many occasions.

Kareena has starred opposite to Anil Kapoor in films such as Bewafaa in 2005 and Tashan in 2008. In Karan Johar’s next period drama ‘Takht‘ both the actors will be seen working together along with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar.
