Bhubaneswar: Rumours regarding a biopic based on legendary Sridevi has been doing rounds for a quite some time now. Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has stated that she is open to the idea of playing the iconic Sridevi on the silver screen as a tribute to her.
The Kahaani actress said, “It would require a lot of guts, but as a tribute to Sridevi, I would do it.”
In 2017 release Tumhari Sulu Vidya had paid a small tribute to Sridevi by performing on Sridevi’s popular number “Hawa Hawai’s” remixed version.
While Vidya wants to play Sridevi, a lot of filmmakers had expressed their wish to make a film with the late actor, who passed away last year.
Kalank was another project that originally had Sridevi as part of the ensemble cast. Karan Johar had expressed several times how Kalank was his dream project and he always wanted Sridevi to be a part of it.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vidya will next be seen in Telugu film ‘N.T.R: Kathanayakudu’ and Hindi film ‘Mission Mangal’ which will release in August this year.
