Bhubaneswar: Teaser of Kalank was released on Tuesday and it has captivated the viewers’ attention. While the look of the cast was released a few days ago, the teaser gives an inside glimpse at the main characters of Kalank.
In the teaser, the cast of Kalank is introduced in this order – first arrives Madhuri Dixit as Begum Bahaar, then comes Sonakshi Sinha as Satya and Alia Bhatt as Roop is the final character to be introduced from the “Women Of Kalank” cast.
Varun Dhawan is introduced next as the daredevil Zafar, who plays a bull-fighter, followed by Aditya Roy Kapur’s Dev Chaudhary. Last but definitely not the least is Sanjay Dutt as the “formidable” Balraj Chaudhary.
In a supposed second half, we delve deeper into the characters’ lives and we see Dev and Roop on a wedding mandap. Roop has tears rolling down her cheeks whereas in next scene Zafar is seen fighting a scary bull. Balraj and Begum Bahaar also appear together in a blink-and-miss moment.
While it is known that this epic drama is set in the pre-independent era, whose love stories it portrays it is not clear yet.
There were also a few glimpses of grand dance numbers in the teaser. It has definitely heightened the interest of the audience.
Directed by Abhishek Verman and co-produced by Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala & Sons, the movie is a 17 April release.
