Sushant Singh Rajput Denies Sexually Harassing Co-Star Sanjana Sanghi
Mumbai: After being accused of sexually harassing his Kizie aur Manny co-star Sanjana Sanghi, actor Sushant Singh Rajput has dismissed reports on social media that he made her uncomfortable on the sets of a film and called the reports “a well-timed and agenda-driven smear campaign.’
Recently, reports surfaced that Sushant has been “flirting” with his newcomer Sanjana Sanghi on the sets of Kizie aur Manny and making her uncomfortable while filming. It was also reported that Sanjana’s parents had to intervene after director Mukesh Chhabra did not take a stand.
In a bid to put to end to all these reports by putting forwards his version of the story, the 32-year-old actor shared screenshots of his conversations with Sanjana on Twitter and Instagram and left it to the Internet to decide on whether he was being falsely blamed or not.
Taking to Instagram, Sushant wrote, “I feel sad to reveal personal information but it seems that there is no other way to state what actually happened, in the midst of this curated, well-timed and agenda driven smear campaign. From the first day of the shoot till the last day, this is what happened on the sets with Sanjana. Misconduct? Not at all. Agenda? You decide.”
Post this, director Mukesh Chhabra has come out in support of Sushant Singh Rajput and stated that there is “somebody else’s ulterior motive” behind the reports. Taking to Twitter, he wrote- “I totally stand by Sushant Singh Rajput – no such incident happened on the sets and let’s not have a Twitter trial and make an innocent person suffer for somebody else’s ulterior motives I had clarified this on twitter long back and I still maintain it.”
However, Sanjana Sanghi is yet to make an official statement regarding the entire episode.
