Shehnaaz Gill blocked Salman Khan’s number, Here’s why

Indian actress Shehnaaz Gill is all set to make her big Bollywood debut in the Salman Khan starrer Kisi ka bhai kisi ki jaan. Both Shehnaaz and Salman share a cute bond ever since her stint on Bigg Boss 13. The KKBKKJ team recently appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show for promotion, where the actress disclosed that she once blocked Salman’s phone number.

During the show, Shehnaaz revealed that she was in Amritsar visiting a Gurudwara when she got a call from Salman. However, because the call came from an unknown number, she blocked the call right away. Minutes after that, she got a text saying that it was Salman who was trying to reach her.

To verify, Shehnaaz searched the number on the Truecaller app and came to know that it was actually Salman Khan who was calling her. She quickly unblocked him and called him back. It was then that Salman offered her the movie, and she ended up bagging her first role in Bollywood.

Recently, at the trailer launch event, Shehnaaz thanked Salman for trusting her and offering the role. “When I had gone to shoot for my first music video, I was rejected. I was told, ‘Ye kaunsi bachchi leke aaye hai, we don’t want to shoot with her. Take her back.’ I came back and cried a lot at home, that I’ve been rejected. My mom told me why am I crying, one day I would be in a Salman Khan film. Sir gave me a chance and proved that mom’s words always come true,” she added.

Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Salman himself. Apart from Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles, the film also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Palak Tiwari, Jagapathi Babu, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal, Siddharth Nigam, Vijendra Singh, and others. The movie is all set to release on Eid in April 21.
