An actress’ deepfake nude pictures has been circulated among her family and friends over social media platforms.
An actress’ deepfake nude pictures has been circulated among her family and friends over social media platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. Following the incident, the actress has filed a complaint at the Versova police station in Mumbai, and said that suspects that one of her male friends has sent this pictures to her friends and family.
According to reports, on December 27, 2023, while the actress was at a café, her male friend called her and informed her that he had received her morphed nude images and messages from a Facebook account linked to Kuldeep Dwivedi. After a few days, her mother informed her that she also received the actress’s morphed nude photos from a mobile number, while her father got them from another number.
Additionally, some other friends also informed her that they have received her deepfake images from an Instagram ID identity as kgxjcdjvfdg. Reportedly, the actress had also received death threats through her friend’s Instagram account from an ID named ydryhdt on September 2023.
Based on all these incident, the actress has filed a case online suspecting a male friend living in Pirangut, Pune has done so. A case under section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code along with sections 67 (transmitted in the electronic form any material which contains sexually explicit) and, 67 (a) (transmitting of material containing sexually explicit act) of the Information Technology Act has been filed at Versova police station.
Further investigation is underway.
