Amravati: The Delhi police has arrested the main accused who made Rashmika Mandanna’s deepfake video in Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.

A forged video of the famous South cinemas actress went viral over the social media platform in November 2023. The original video is of a British-Indian influencer Zara Patel. In the original video, Zara Patel is seen entering into a lift wearing black workout dress. However, the video has been edited and replaced with that of Rashmika Mandanna.

After the video went viral, the Delhi Police filed a case in the matter under sections 465 (forgery) and 469 (harming reputation) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, and sections 66C (identity theft) and 66E (privacy violation) of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Meanwhile, Tollywood famous actor Vijay Deverakonda has addressed the ongoing rumors of his engagement to Rashmika Mandanna, in a recent interview with Lifestyle Asia. The actor clarified that he is not getting engaged in February.
