Amitabh Bachchan shares ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ tweet amid India’s name change rumors

In a recent news, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan posted on his official handle on X (formerly Twitter). The actor wrote “Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” along with a Tricolor emoji.

Amitabh Bachchan’s tweet comes after a dinner invite from the ‘President of Bharat’ for the upcoming G20 summit went viral on social media. The proposal is likely to be brought by the leading government in the upcoming session of the Parliament, scheduled from September 18-22.

It seems that the actor has tweeted in support of India’s name change to Bharat.

A significant number of social media users lauded him for accepting India’s name change ‘Bharat.’ On the other hand, a large section of users also trolled him for his political opinions.

The speculations around India’s name change started after screenshots of a dinner invite gained attention of social media users. The invite was for a G20 dinner on September 9 from the ‘President of Bharat’ instead of the usual ‘President of India’

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is currently busy with the shoot of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ 15. On the big screen, he’ll be seen next opposite Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in Kalki 2898 AD.

For the unversed, he is also to be a part of ‘The Intern’ alongside Deepika Padukone and ‘Section 84’ with Diana Penty.
