Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter Account gets hacked
Mumbai: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account was hacked on late Monday night by a Pakistan-Turkish hacker group Ayyildiz Tim. However, it was restored within half-an-hour.
A spokesperson for Mumbai Police told PTI that they have informed the cyber unit and the matter is being investigated.
The hackers changed the profile picture of Mr Bachchan’s account and replaced it with a picture of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and changed the bio writing, “Actor… well at least some are STILL saying so!! Love Pakistan.”
Multiple tweets were made by the group Ayyildiz Tim from Amitabh Bachchan’s hacked account. Tim’s tweets included an Anti-India post.
The first tweet read,” This is an important call to the whole world! We do condemn the irrespective behaviors of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers. We speak softly but carry a big stick and inform you about the big cyber attack here. As Ayyıldız Tim Turkish Cyber Army +++”
There was another tweet which read, “The Indian State, who mercilessly attacks the Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan, is attacking the Ummah Muhammad in this age! Indian Muslims are entrusted to us by Abdulhamid.”
The Pak-Turkish Hackers also posted pictures of Imran Khan and captioned it “Love Imran Khan” with emojis and Turkey’s flag. All the tweets have now been deleted and Mr Bachchan’s account has been restored.
The same group had previously hacked Twitter accounts of actors Shahid Kapoor and Anupam Kher among others.
The Twitter account of Bachchan Senior seems to have been restored within half-an-hour of being hacked.
