Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is offering a broadband plan that costs Rs 2988 and offers a connectivity of 13 months. This plan offers a validity of 12 months and an extra 1 month (which makes it 13 months valid). However, the users should keep in mind that the plan is meant for the new users and the existing users will not be able to avail it.
Initially reported by telecom talk, the BSNL Rs 2988 broadband plan offers 10GB of data every month for a period of 13 months. Users get a speed of 10 Mbps till 10GB. After that the speed is reduced to 1 Mbps.
This plan can only be recommended to those users who use a moderate amount of internet in their daily life. If you are someone who is working from home, then it is not recommended to recharge with this plan. This plan is a FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) service and not an old DSL or copper wire plan. This plan just offers an internet connectivity to the homes of users and not much can be done with the data offered in the plan. However, if you are someone who lives alone and consumes very less internet, you can opt for it.
If you do have an existing BSNL broadband plan but are planning for Rs 2988 plan, you have to discontinue your existing plan. After that you can request for the Rs 2988 plan.
