Sensex jumps 300 pts, Nifty hits fresh lifetime high near 21,000
30-share BSE Sensex climbed 303.25 points to a new high of 69,599.39 and Nifty hit its fresh lifetime high of 20,955.15.
New Delhi: Equity market benchmarks Sensex and Nifty continue their rally and hit new peaks on Wednesday. In the early trade, the 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 303.25 points, or 0.44 per cent, to a new high of 69,599.39 and the broader index Nifty also climbed 100.05 points, or 0.48 per cent to hit its fresh lifetime high of 20,955.15.
The ITC, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Nestle India were among the major gainers today. Other gainers include HCL Tech, Asian Paints, and Reliance.
On the other hand, ICICI Bank, NTPC, UltraTech Cement and Tata Steel recorded loses in the early session.
