Ambani, Asia’s richest man, plans to take on the world’s largest retailers by combining his Jio telecom service, mobile services, and a vast physical retail network. The offline-to-online platform will probably be launched across India in about 12-18 months of time.

The business tycoon will be the latest to join the e-commerce sector. He will very soon be joining Amazon and Flipkart in expanding the world’s fast growing major e-commerce market.

The e-commerce platform was one of the major initiatives outlined by Mukesh Ambani, who said these also align with Gujrat’s future development model.

Reliance currently owns businesses across India engaged in energy, petrochemicals, textiles, natural resources, retail, and telecommunications. Reliance is one of the most profitable companies in India. Also, Reliance Jio is the world’s largest data network, as per Mobile Data Consumption numbers.
