Jio removes it’s cheapest Rs 119 prepaid recharge plan in India

Reliance Jio has quietly discontinued the Rs 119 prepaid plan, which is it’s cheapest recharge plan for its users across the country. The plan offered 14 days of validity with 1.5GB of daily data with other benefits. The telcos has removed the plan from it’s official website.

The discontinued Jio Rs 119 plan was introduced after the tariff hike in late 2021. This plan used to offer 1.5GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day. It had 14 days of validity.

Now, the base plan of Jio is priced at Rs 149. The Rs 149 plan offers unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day. The plan has 20 days of validity and provides 1GB/day, which means users get a total of 20Gb data balances.

In addition to this, the plan also includes free subscriptions to the Jio suite of applications – JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud.

Meanwhile, the telecom service provider launched new prepaid plans with bundled Netflix subscription and unlimited 5G data. The new Jio Netflix plans are Rs 1099 and Rs 1499.

Both the plans have 84 days, unlimited 5G data, 2GB daily 4G data limit, and unlimited voice calling. Though both plan have free Netflix subscription, the Rs 1099 bundles the Netflix mobile plan, valid for only streaming from mobile devices, while the Rs 1499 plan comes with Netflix basic subscription.
