2022 Toyota Glanza launched in India at a starting price of Rs 6.5 Lakh

Toyota has now launched 2022 iteration of the Glanza in India on Tuesday. The new 2022 Toyota Glanza has been introduced with a starting price of Rs 6.39 lakh. The bookings for the new Glanza has already underway. The company is available in four variants.

Variants

The facelifted Toyota Glanza have received some new updates that makes it look visually different from the Baleno, the hatchback upon which it is based. The new Glanza is available in two new E (base) and S (mid-spec) trims along with the previous G and V trims.

2022 Toyota Glanza Price in India starts from Rs 6.39 lakh and goes up to to 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The new hatchback is already available for booking, and deliveries are expected to starts soon.

Features

The facelifted Glanza has come with a new front fascia design including an all new, chrome-heavy grille at the front. The model has now got a C-shaped chrome highlights around the fog lamp housing, hexagonal mesh on the air-intake, new 15-inch alloy wheels, tweaked LED projector headlights and DRLs.

Interior

The 2022 Toyota Glanza has now got the Toyota branding on the steering wheel and sports a dual-tone black and beige theme inside the cabin. Glanza will be getting a piano black trim on the dashboard. Except from this, majority of the cabin design will be identical to the refreshed Baleno. For example, the new Glanza has also got the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Heads-Up Display, with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology with limited remote operation, Alexa home device support, repositioned AC vents with a new climate control panel, cruise control, and rear AC vents.

The safety features of the 2022 Toyota Glanza includes a 360-degree camera, ESP with hill-hold assist that is only available for AMT variants, up to six airbags, and rain-sensing wipers.

Engine

The facelifted Glanza will be powered by a 4 cylinder 1.2 litre DualJet petrol motor that will churn out 90 PS and 113 Nm of max torque. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed manual and a optional 5-speed AMT. It will also get the idle stop-start as standard to improve fuel efficiency.

Rivals

The updated Glanza will rival the likes of 2022 Baleno, Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Honda Jazz and the soon to be discontinued Volkswagen Polo in the Indian market.
