The upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door has been spotted testing with the new Mahindra XUV 300 in Ladakh. The Indian automaker is planning to launch the 5-door version of Mahindra Thar SUV in 2024.
The spy shots of the Thar 5-Door has revealed that the SUV will have a unique tail lamp design and a rectangular C-shaped LED brake light that encases additional LED brake light units, turn indicators, and rear parking lights. These elements will make the 5-door version stand out from the 3-door version of Thar.

Mahindra is expected to make significant changes in the interior of the Thar 5-door.
It will likely feature a different colour scheme in the interior and a larger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, similar to that of the Mahindra Scorpio N.
Reports have also suggested that it would have a sunroof as well.

The 2024 Mahindra Thar 5-door will likely feature Dual-zone climate control, six airbags as standard, cruise control, a multi-function steering wheel, keyless entry, and a multi-info display.
The Safety features might include electronic stability control and a tire pressure monitoring system.

The Thar 5-door is expected to continued to be offered with the same engine that power its smaller 3-door sibling, which is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine, with potential power enhancements. It will be paired with either a six-speed manual and a convenient six-speed torque converter automatic.
The vehicle is anticipated to offer both two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive configurations.

The Thar 5-door is expected to arrive with a competitive starting price of approximately Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Jimny, Force Gurkha 5-door in the Indian market.

The Mahindra XUV300 facelift has also been spotted along with the Thar 5-door version. It was fully camouflaged. But, it seems Mahindra will provide the SUV with a new tail light design in the rear along with the tweaked bumper and connected LED lightbar. It is also expected to get a new C-shaped LED DRLs, and redesigned alloy wheels.
